Ask your child’s pediatrician to send a referral for a speech and language evaluation. Parents may also request a referral or self-refer.
Once the referral is received, we will contact you to discuss concerns and schedule a comprehensive speech and language evaluation.
The evaluation assesses your child’s speech and language skills and determines whether therapy is recommended.
If therapy is recommended, sessions will be scheduled, and an individualized treatment plan will be created.

Q: What do I need for my child to begin therapy?
All appointments require a physician's referral. You may request a referral for speech therapy from your child's primary care physician or pediatrician and have it faxed to Golden Lotus Therapy at

Q: Does the clinic have experience with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder?
A: Yes, we do have experience working with many populations; however, we currently specialize in treating speech sound disorders. Our clinic is best suited for children who can participate in structured speech therapy sessions with minimal behavioral support. If your child has more complex behavioral or medical needs, we would be happy to recommend local providers who specialize in those areas to ensure they receive the best care possible.
Q: How long does a therapy session typically last?
A: Golden Lotus Therapy offers 30-minute treatment sessions. However, evaluation sessions may take between 30 minutes to 1 hour or more, depending on the need.
Q: What should I expect during a therapy session?
A: During a therapy session, you can expect the therapist to engage your child in various activities and tasks as they work towards the goals of the treatment plan. Goals may be targeted through play-based activities, dependent upon the child's interests. All treatment sessions include caregiver coaching/support.

A: Yes! We are in network with Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Q: Is teletherapy effective?
A: Yes, for many clients, teletherapy is just as effective as in-person sessions. With the right tools and caregiver support, children can make excellent progress in a virtual setting. Teletherapy is evidence-based and used widely to deliver high-quality speech and language services.
However, it’s important to note that teletherapy may not be the best fit for every child.
